the eye

Eyesight accounts for almost 75 percent of our total perception. It is easily the most important way we experience life. Proper eye care, including regular professional examinations is key to long term clear vision. Annual visits to your eye care professional can also result it the early detection of other general health problems including diabetes and heart disease.

Many common vision problems may be corrected with the fitting of soft contact lenses:

contact lens handling
  • wash and wipe your hands properly before handling your contact lenses
  • take the lenses out immediately if you feel any discomfort
  • have your eyes checked regularly by an eye care professional
  • do not let anything touch the mouth of the solution bottle to avoid contamination
  • use fresh solution every time you handle your lenses
  • do not rinse or soak lenses in tap water, which may contain bacteria which may cause eye infections
  • do not use saliva to clean or rinse contact lenses as it contains bacteria
